Celebritie's Nudes Leak: Scandal or Crime?

Scandal or crime? That is Scott Mendelson's argument in his article "Jennifer Lawrence Nude Photo Leak Isn't A 'Scandal'. It's a Sex Crime." Mendelson argues throughout his piece that it is not the actresses' faults for creating these pictures but for the people who hacked the women's various devices to acquire said photos. He also said that the actresses' should NOT apologize what-so-ever for this "leak" because they have nothing to be ashamed of.
I fully support Mendelson in his view that it is not the woman's fault for having taken these pictures but for the perpetrator who took these pictures from a private setting and put them into the public. The actresses' such as Jennifer Lawrence never meant for these to get to the public and did not create these photos with that goal in mind. If we as a the public come together and condemn these women for having taken the pictures, that is like condemning someone for being assaulted. It is never the victim's fault. No one asks to be taken advantage of in any way, whether in the real world or in the media, and these women should not have to apologize for having their own private activities.
